Lynn, I have no information on the Joseph Carter you are researching; however, I do have some questions regarding Giles/Gyles Carter and his wife, Hannah. I am a descendant of Giles and Hannah Carter through their son Giles (2). I have been researching this family for several years and have found no documentation that Hannah was a "Crew", "Crews" or "Crewes"! If you have found any documentation that Hannah was either the daughter or relative of James Crewes which has been reported but not proven, please share it with other Carter kin.
