Sorry this is gonna be quick.....I looked today primarily for Carter & Dittman records at Hominy...Hope to get back over there before too long......found only 2 Dittman's buried there and one is definatly ours.....the other I bet is ours too-see below.......I need to get an obit for more info on both of these as I was unable to find tombstones -No markers found......walked the whole section and nothing..........That stinks..... In the Cem records states Child of Walter Dittman d. 3-4-24 buried Albert Powell Memorial Cemetery, hominy, Osage Co., Ok.....Section 5 Lot 12 1 South ***********We did no of this child for Walter Edward Dittman & Leahrueah(Carter). Then found one other Dittman.....Mary Dittman.....but don't have her in the database...buried same section and same lot at 1 North died 1-15-29................ ************Bet this is another child of theirs............. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tons of Carters buried there but none of them I could connect with the ones I have in my database......so will hold and maybe we can connect them-I have to type all this in and since I don't see anything There is TOO much to type.....(I'm really overloaded right now too).........if anyone runs across any new Carter's connected to our line let me know and I'll check to see if they were buried there.......... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now I did find these that are ours-while walking looking for the Carter's and Dittman's(So I bet some of them Carter's are ours): William W. Dorothy Glenn d/o Zula Carter (Leahrueah's sister) b. 5 Sept 1917 d. 25 Mar 1968 Oklahoma PFC 54 TRP CARR SQ AAF WWII Dorothy is buried beside him: Tombstone states: Loraine Pogue (Pogue was her 2nd husband) b. 30 Jan 1925 d. 10 Oct 1987 --------------------------------------------------------- Also seen some Hurds/Herds there.......didn't have time to jot them down....did somehow manage to jot this one set down.....? if connected Tombstone really neat! (Must be into Genealogy-loads of info off the tombstone) Herd Parents of David Ray, Jess Wesley, and Kathryn Janneice Dave A. Herd b. 15 Jan 1912 d. 18 Oct 1993 m. 28 Sep 1946 to Ima Jean E. b. 16 Jan 1924 ------------------------------------------------------------- Happened to see a Lowe set so jotted it down-?????Can't find a connection. William Lowe 1880-1972 m. Gertrude 1884-1955 Well-Hope we get some new names on the Carter's cause I bet alot of ours are there. Talk soon.
