Hi I am new to the list. My name is Laura Pierson. I have been searching for years for the parents and siblings of my great grandfather. His name was JAMES PERRY CARTER. He was born 30 May 1860 in Tennessee. We think it might have been around Memphis, but have no documentation. James married Laura Lillian PENDLEY on 3 July 1887 in Cadron, Faulkner, Arkansas. He was supposed to have been of English descent. He had siblings, Horace, Florence, Ann and "Bud" Carter. I have been unable to locate him in any Census records other than the 1900 living in Hardin, Faulkner, Arkansas. He died 16 Feb. 1910 in Hugo Choctaw, Oklahoma.
