Hello! My name is William R.Barker, and I am new to the Carter mailing list. I have been researching my family history now for about a year. For the short time I have been researching, I have gathered a large amount of information. ( I have been very lucky). For about 30 years I have been trying to find my half brother, with very little luck. I just found out last week his mothers maidden name was Carter, and I was hopping some of the folks on the list might be able to help me. I will list what little information I have. The main thing I am trying to find is my half brothers, mothers married name. Gary is going by his stepfathers name. If I can find that name, I feel I can find my brother. 1. My brother was born with the name Gary Barker 2. His mothers maiden name was Martha Carter 3. She was born in California, and married my father (Boyd RL Barker) June 3, 1939 in Fresno, Ca. 4. Gary was born between 1940 & 42 5. Marthas Father was Benjamin Carter b. in Kentucky 6. Marthas Mother was Julia Lynch b. in Kentucky I believe Gary is or was working for the city or county of Sacramento, Ca. If any one can help me with my search, it would be greatly appriciated.
