Carter b- married Edna 3) Martha Ellen Carter b- AR married Roy Merriman 4) Lillie Jane Carter born 1904 in AR married Johnnie Edwards 5) Minie Francis Luvinia Carter b-1910 AR married Elbert "Ellic" Ritchie 6) Desi Mae Carter b-1913 married James W. Lemons 7) James Roy Carter b-1914 in AR ( these are my Grandparents) and I have extensive information on their decendants) married Dorothy Murl Hyatt 8) Goldie Carter Twin who died at birth 1922 in AR 9) Sylvia Ann "Sybil" Carter b- 1922 in AR married James "Palzo" Ritchie (brother to Elbert, above) I have the decendants of these people and more dates. James "Jimpole" Carter was quite a character and traveled around a lot with his family. He and Nancy were divorced once and remarried and were separated at the time of his death. There are lots of stories about them, and most of them are not nice, but make for colorful tales. This second Joe Carter is my husband's line Joe Carter born in KY family traveled by wagon train to AR. It is assumed they came with the Dees family and others. Lived in Searcy county, Johnson co., and Sebastian counties in AR that I know of. He married Telitha Isabelle "Belle" Dees Their children included Vinella Carter b-1878 in Newton co. AR John Carter Robert V. Carter b- 1888 Jimmie Carter b 1892 Loyd Carter b-1896 Edna Carter b-1884 Maggie Carter b-1884 I have decendants of Vinella and her husband and only just started working on this family.
