Looking for information on John F. and Martha E. (Philipa?) CARTER. They may have married in Morgan county, IN in 1843. They appear on the 1850 and 1860 Indiana Federal census in Hamilton county. They moved to Clarke county, Iowa by 1866. Their children are Frances A., Mary E., James A., Elizabeth, William B., Alzach (?) and Dayton O. I think Martha's maiden name may be Philips or Phillips. Any information would be appreciated. According to census records there were several Carters families living in Hamilton county, IN. Thanks, Bradley D. Trimble
