We are researching George Washington Carter, B.11 Feb 1832 in Toledo, OH and D. 18 Oct 1898 in Crystal Plains Twp., Smith Co., KS. He was married to Elizabeth A. Pitner B. 23 Jan 1834 in Toledo, OH and D. 7 May 1907 also on Crystal Plains. They were married in OH. They had 13 children but only the following are known to us: John David, Marcus (Pete), Alonzo Pitner (Dick), George (Dutch), Thomas and Belle. One daughter was killed in a wheat field fire. A son was killed during a tornado in Harlan, KS. We are descended from John David. Can anyone help us find siblings and/or parents for George Washington Carter and/or his wife Elizabeth A. Pitner?
