    3. The idea of a "permanent" home for the Carter- Census and Tax lists... is a very good idea- However, if we no longer included them in our mailing list- that would mean we would have to check another site quite frequently, for up-dated information. Call me spoiled... but, I really am in favor of continuing to have them forwarded to us, as they become available. Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that the "Carter Mailing List" was for the posting of any and all collective information pertaining to the Carter Surname. Are we now taking a "vote" on what Carter information has priority over what ? Certainly ANY Carter genealogy information is worthy of the attention of our list. The individuals that are extracting the census and tax records for us today.. will perhaps one day be doing the same for "birth, marriage, death, burial, passenger" and other lists. Are we to also tell them that none of this information is important to our list? I really think some of us should re-consider our position- before we discourage the further efforts of those- that have given so much of their own time and resources. Shame on us ! linda Madden Thompson Mphs,TN. Carter, Hooper, Bradly, Clark, Madden, Cupp, Duke, Holsclaw/Holtzclaw Va. Ga. SC Tn. Ar. Ms. Al. Ky.
