My ggrandfather, James William Carter was bd. in Pipe Creek TX. He lived near Ft.Worth for a while. His wife is bd. in Ft. Worth. He d. ca 1926. He had brothers and sisters, whom I have not identified other than a Richard who lived near Kansas City MO. He was b. in MO. , probably Cass or Clay Co., in 1853 to Joseph Henry Carter who was b. in Iowa. Joseph's wife was Jules Luckett, b. MO. One of the parents of Joseph Henry Carter or Jules Luckett Carter may have been Native American. My Dad recalls his mother saying that one of her grandparents "was Indian". Can Anyone help?
