Cris & Harper Researchers, I had suggested that all the hard work done to get these list should not goe to waste. You may be tired of getting the lists, but someone out there just might find THE connection. That is why I suggested that a permament CARTER Web site be started. I will volunteer to do this as long as about 10 MB holds out. I think everyone actually appreciates these hard won electronic databases, but it might be easier if the work was put on a web site WITH proper acknowlegement of the contributors' names and efforts. The site could easily be mentioned occasionally by the List owner to refer people to the online census. If you would like me to start this wewb site please email me and let me know what state and years of the census for Carters you have and the approximate size of the file. Most have not been too large so maybe 10 MB might do it. Thanks......JR Swenson Kilduffons@aol.com wrote: > > ....or is anybody else really, really, really, really, really tired of getting > these endless CENSUS posts in our mailboxes, along with the other numerous > RECORDS, and ARCHIVES, etc etc etc ad nauseum?????????!!!!!!! > > I hate to complain about this, and I am fully prepared to be flamed to death > for opening my mouth (donning asbestos suit :>), but isn't there a better way > to *share* information besides cluttering up e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e-s mailbox???!!! > > If I am the only one, I am willing to unsubscribe and just move on to more > fertile and useful pastures.
