He and His mother emigrated to Lawrence County, Ohio 1812. He married Katherine Knoff 1815, moved to Sciota County, Ohio. They had 7 children. She died 1843. He remarried 1845 Martha J Compton (Harris) they had 6 children. In 1849 they moved to Adams County, Ohio. In 1866 moved to Blair Nebraska were all his children had moved to.
