My CARTER info is from _The NYG&BR_ vol.XCII #2 (April 1961). I'm looking for info about: The family of Matthew and Eliza CARTER. Matthew CARTER was a son of Robert and Jannetje HOPPER CARTER. One of their daughters, Eliza, married Garret STRYKER in 1860. Living in Brooklyn, they had a son Peter, and two daughters Violetta and Florence. As of the 1910 census Violetta had married into first the MOTT family, then the DODGE family. Matthew and Eliza CARTER's children: Robert, Edward, George W, Matthew, Uzziah, Samuel (lived with Eliza's family much of his adult life), Violetta, my Eliza, Margaret, and Lawrence.I'm looking for descendants of these CARTERS, also STRYKER, MOTT, and DODGE.
