    3. I am new to this list and researching the family of Frederick CARTER (m. Annis ?? 1772). Frederick CARTER fought in the Revolution (1778) as a private in Capt. Jonathan Rudd's company, Col. Samuel Chapman's regiment, Connecticut militia. He was born in Connecticut and later moved to Vermont, where his daughter Sallie (Sarah) was born around 1785 and married William BOSTWICK. He and his wife both died, supposedly, in 1790. Do you have any idea where this Frederick CARTER lived or who his parents might have been? Do you know of any CARTERs who were in Connecticut in the 1700s? There's no will, no pension file, no anything that I can find on this slippery person. Help! Nan Runde Rochester, NY mercat@eznet.net
