Hi Carter cousins, It has been a while scenes I ask for help on my Carters. My Ggrandfather came to Henderson Co. KY some time around 1870 as that is when he married my GGrandmother Sarah Elizabeth Butler in Henderson Co. Ky. I don't have any record of him before that. It was speculated he was born in Pontotic Co. Ms. and I find a Thomas their in 1860 son of Jefferson and Elizabeth Carter from N.C. but don't think this is my Thomas. I find a two Thomas J. Carter in 1850 TN. census, one son of Jefferson Carter 26 from Ky. Sarah 26 James 3 Thomas J. 1/12 The other Jessee Carter 28 from Ky. Mary H. 24 Thomas J. 3 Benjamine F. 2 Lundina J. 4/12 Does anyone have claim on these Carters or know any thing about them ? I sure would like to find my Thomas J. Thanks Lewis
