I am a member of the CEMETERY-L@rootsweb.com and the purpose of the list is to discuss the up-keep and protection of our old cemeteries. (We do not provide a name search service) We have been concerned about cemeteries across the country being destroyed and eliminated. Some of our members have even been to court trying to save cemeteries. We need all the help we can get! Numbers do count when they have the same voice with government. If you choose to join the CEMETERY-L ask for the information about the petitions being collected to get certain states to make laws to protect the older cemeteries.
