I'm looking for information about Erastus Buchanan Carter (aka Rastus, E.B. or R.B.) who was born 18 Mar 1857 in Menifee County, Kentucky. He was the son of Wilson Buchanan Carter (1828-1907) and Mary Jane Blankenship (1820-1878). He married Armina Blevins who was born 10 Apr 1858 (60?) in Saltlicks, Kentucky, who was the daughter of James Simpson Blevins (1829-) and Nancy Willhite/Wilhoit (~1827-). They married 14 Jul 1883 in Bath County, Kentucky and had these children: Nancy Jane (1884-1986) Iva Nora (1886-1907) Fannie E. (1887-1987) Effie L. (1889-1907) Mary Elizabeth (1892-1986) Ina (1894-1980) Maud Lou (1897-1952) Some older family members told me years ago that Erastus had been married previous to his marriage to Armina and that he had a son with this wife, but I haven't been able to find any record of it. I'm guessing this marriage took place between 1875-1882. Does anyone have any information on this first marriage of his, or any additional information on any family members listed above?
