I descend from Ardilles (Ardalus) Carter and Hannah Gulick. Ardalus was the son of Asa Carter and Cynthia Parker who were first cousins. Their mothers were Hannah and Elizabeth Eblin. Ardalus and Hannah were married, reportedly in Ohio in about 1833 but I've not been able to find proof. I descend from Ardalus' and Hannah's daughter Almira. Almira, Maria, and Arthur Perry Carter were born in the 1850's. Cynthia Parker and Asa Carter were married June 1797 in Loudon County, Virginia. Cynthia was "kicked out" of the Quaker church for marrying outside the church and for marrying her first cousin. I have more info on the Carters and Gulicks. Contact me if you're interested. Miriam
