Hello List Members, I was a member of this group back in 1999 and made contact with some one that had researched the family of Presley Carter. They had sent me a file and I would like to find that person again. After several hard drive crashes, I lost contact. This is the only clue that I have and it is in the Notes of my family tree file: Joseph N. Adams, Oak Ridge, TN. Early Carters of SW VA by Rita Sutton pg 77. Deloris Bringardner Girard has a Prisley Carter b. 10/27/1850 to Mintie J. Carter b. 2/8/1848. Their ch: Maudie M. 9/15/1885, Ida M. 10/25/1886, Sarah B. 3/11/1889, Ethell 9/15/1891, Julie W. 10/20/1893, Edward B. 5/10/1896 John W. 3/25/1898, Thomas P. Carter 10/26/1900.
