Dear J. Fox, I just got a posting from [email protected] through the Carter list with the subject heading "Book with Carter entries you posted." (This heading comes from a message you sent to me a little while ago in response to a message I sent to you.) This new message had no content, but it did have a download file. The line in front of an e-mail address I have encountered before. It means that a virus has invaded your machine and stolen addresses of people you have written to so that it could infect their machines if they download the file. My McAfee software has caught the virus in the past and I've avoided infection. Just in case your virus protection software missed it in your case, I wanted to be certain that you knew you needed to disinfect your computer. Karen Carter Sandy, UT
