Hi to all, I'm new to the list and looking for info on a relative: I was told his name was Jay Floyd Carter. His name may actually be J. Floyd Carter, Floyd Jay Carter, Floyd J. Carter, or some other permutation you might be able to think of. I don't have birth or death info (he may, in fact, still be living), but know that he was a major in the US Army in the late 1950s, and was stationed at the Presidio in SF California at least in 1958 and/or 1959. The family member who told me about this relative died several years ago, and I don't have any other information on this Carter in my family. And I doubt there is any info that would actually tie him to the rest of the family. If anyone has any info that could be possibly associated with this individual, I'd be most happy to get it.
