In his book, "The descendants of Capt. Thos. Carter of 'Barford', Lancaster . . .", Joseph Lyon Miller (1912) makes a number of references to the old Carter family bible, as well as portraits (or copies thereof) of Thos. Carter, Jr. and Maj. Edward Dale. I believe they were last accounted for in Chicago shortly after the time of the great fire (1871). Does anyone know the current whereabouts of these items? Regards, Andrew R.
