    1. [CARTER-L] Re: Ohio Carters
    2. Katherine Kurtz
    3. Dear Brenda, I don't know if there's any connection for you, but I found an Ohio Carter while searching for my grandfather, Bentley Frederick Carter--who I still haven't found. But the one I found was Benjamin F. Carter, b. April 1861 in Ohio and married Hattie B. Turner on Dec. 15, 1883 in Madison Co., OH. According to Michael Thornhill ([email protected]), Benjamin F. was the 13th child of Fenton Mercer Carter and Sarah Margaret Carter. 11th child was Stephen Douglas Carter. I had hoped that Benjamin F. might be my Bentley Frederick, since both are in Atlanta in the late 19teens, but I've pretty much ocnvinced myself that they're two different men. So my search goes on. But if Benjamin F. or Stephen Douglas connect with your Jon or Eldon, you might check the above source. Or--I have Benjamin F.'s children, at least by that wife. Good luck, Katherine Kurtz-MacMillan granddaughter of Bentley Frederick Carter (who must be an alien who dropped onto the planet in November of 1919, in time to marry my grandmother, Alma Irene Mulligan) ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, July 11, 2002 5:31 AM Subject: [CARTER-L] Re: CARTER-D Digest V02 #110 > Hello List Folks, > Before marriage my name was Brenda Jean Carter.
