    1. Anderson Carter, Fulton Kansas
    2. Frank Ross
    3. Copied Sept, 2004, from the Probate Record, Bourbon County Courthouse, Fort Scott, Kansas: "AGREEMENT AMONG HEIRS, WHEREAS Anderson G. Carter, a widower, died intestate in Bourbon County Kansas on February-11th-1920, leaving as his only heirs at law these seven children, all of them being of full legal age, towit:- Bert H. Carter, Minnie Ashford, Alma Havenhill, Stella Staley, Minnie Williamson, Bessie Mattox and Homer H. Carter." I've been unable to locate Anderson's grave or that of his father, Abraham, who I'm reasonably certain died in Bourbon County. Also unable to find a record of Abraham's probate record. This is not surprising since there was also no record of a probate record for Anderson's brother, Isadore Lincoln Carter, but I did find his grave in the Zion Cemetery, not far from Fulton, Bourbon Co., KS. See seperate note about Link Carter. BTW, many of these old towns in eastern Kansas are rapidly disappearing. Frank Ross --------------------------------- Yahoo! Messenger with Voice.
