CARTER, b: 1844 d: 1910 Callaway Co. Mo. married Margaret Ann FLETCHER, b: 1845 d: 1939, Callaway Co. Mo. His parents were John G. CARTER b: 1820 Ky. d: 1908, Callaway Co. Mo. married Matilda J. HERRING, b: 1822, Albemarle Co. Va. d: 1860, Callaway Co. Mo. His parents were Robert P. CARTER, b: abt. 1790, Culpepper Co. Va., d: possibly in Ky. or Mo., no solid info on wife. His parents were Thomas CARTER and Susannah GAINES of Virginia. I have found a lot of information from Thomas CARTER back, and John G. CARTER forward. The sketchy part of our info is with Robert P. CARTER. We know he had at least three sons, John G., Alexander, and Robert, all were in Missouri before 1842. We know from an old family letter that Robert P. CARTER, son of Thomas CARTER and Susannah GAINES, was the father of John G. CARTER. Any information about this line of Carters would be appreciated. Thanks Jo
