    3. Hi, Was your Carter a Quaker? My Quakers (Jackson) came down from PA and showed up on the yearly tax list in Loudoun County in 1761. Of course they had documentation from the Monthly Meetings in Abingdon, PA (Montgomery County). I believe Chester Co was a Quaker strong-hold. Quakers have good records...
