I have lost most of my Carter research, so must begin again. My fathers mother was Martha Mary Carter, her husband was William Preston Phillips - both from southern Indiana around the Noblesville-Sheridan area. She was born in 1875, and was Williams second wife. She was called "May" and always signed her name as May C. Phillips. Hope someone is familiar with this line. Many thanks, Kathryn
