    2. From reading about all of the Carter's on this list, seems like more Carter's than Smith or Jones trees. And it seems none of us are related. Bob Carter St. Peters, MO

    3. I agree with you completely! I keep finding Carters, just not my Carter line. I'm searching for Carters in Tennessee, specifically, Jefferson and Anderson counties in Tennessee. My Carters married Kidwells, which have been easier to trace. Henrietta Kidwell (dau of Samuel Kidwell) m. UKN Carter Children: Gibbey Marshall and Samuel Arthur Gibbey married (3) Ada Anderson. Gibbey died in 1958 and Ada in 1977. Both are buried in Anderson Co. TN Children were: Blanie Roxie Frank Charlie Gladys Helen Charlie (my husband) died in 1971. Of course, I didn't ask enough questions before they died. The other children know little to nothing about their ancestry. Someday we'll run into someone who has the missing link!! One request of everyone, please put locations in your emails. If you don't, I'll assume you're just right down the road here in Tennessee!
