Hello, It's been a long time since I last sent out the messages you will soon be receiving. #1: SUGGESTED GUIDELINES TO GET ANSWERS, and also proper etiquette in sending & responding to email messages on the list. They are not new, I've used these suggestions for at least the last 10 years since the lists were organized. I did not write them, Tim Carter, who was a member of the original CARTER Family list authored the original message. He gave me permission to use the same and I've found it quite useful. So, when it comes please read it and try to use some of the suggestions. One of the MAJOR COMPLAINTS I've received lately, and to be blunt, it annoys me also, is the failure to change subject lines. When someone posts a message to the list, rather than changing the subject line (if the subject changes), many will continue to tag on that same subject. Even if it has no bearing on the content of their post. Please, use the appropriate subject line, I guarantee it will increase the chances of your message being read. Also, when replying to a message, please try to <------------<snip>---------------> out unnecessary text. Again, it will increase the chances your message will be read. Finally, #2: Everyone is going to receive an undated copy of the WELCOME MESSAGE to the particular list. If you haven't read it for a while, once again, please take time and read it.
