And I'm trying to find info on Landon N. Carter as possible father of Kemp Goodloe Carter, my gggrandfather. Landon N. was an officer in the U.S. Marines from 1824 to 1847. He died in Norfolk VA Sept 26, 1847. He came from Virginia Springs I think in Craig Co. VA.
