On the 1850 White County Census, it shows as follows: Samuel Carter b. abt 1813 in KY Levenia Carter b. abt 1817 in TN Mary Carter b. abt 1841 in IL Chasity Carter b. abt 1842 in IL William Carter b. abt 1843 in IL Martha Carter b. abt 1845 in IL Sarah Carter b. abt 1847 in IL Joseph Carter b. abt 1849 in IL William also shows up on the 1860 Census living with Samuel. Also shows three new siblings: Elizabeth age 8, Samuel age 4 and John age 2. On the 1870 Census, there is a similar aged William cater married to an Elizabeth with a daughter Emma living in south east Wayne County (close to White County). William died sometime between 1871 and 1879 (I assume) because Elizabeth marries a Berry Rose. -----Original Message----- From: Mary Stuart [mailto:stuart@ortrackm.missouri.org] Sent: Sunday, March 19, 2006 9:47 AM To: Mike Clemmons Subject: Re: [CARTER-L] Carters of White County Illinois Which Samuel Carter do you think your William is desc. from?
