Hi List: With so many posting to the Carter List, I decided to post my Carters to this list: I finally found the father of my Ann Carter married Thomas Hawkes in 1751. She is the daughter of John and Mary Palmer. In Wellingboro I found him having several children baptized the same year and a new marriage and other children. The record says: Mary was six years of age at Xmas last (in 1734 so 1733 minus 6 would be 1hat she was born in 1727 Richard son of John being 5 years of age Xmas last 1734 Ann dau of John being four years of age at Candelemas last 1734 John son of John being three years of age next midsummer 1734 Sarah Being one year old last lady day 1734 Elizabeth 13 days old 5 May 1734 ch 22 Apr 1734 Thomas Carter ch 6 Dec 1735 (new wife's name not mentioned) buried Dec 1735 Edward son of John bap 4 Dec 1736 1. I am looking for his wifes name and his 2nd wifes name. I found John married to Jane Allen (ch 19 Sep 1694) in All Hallows Wellingborough Three children: Hannah 24 Jun 1742 burial 5 Nove 1743/44 Joseph 20 Dec 1743 buried 22 Dec 1743 Joseph 10 Jul 1744 If anybody knows of this family, Please share.
