Hi All: I am glad to see activity on this list also! I wanted to put my brickwall info out there again and see if anyone new to this may connect to this line as well. I am looking for the parents and siblings for John Lester Carter, born in Tennessee (Macon or Sumner), 9/16/1861 and died 3/25/1946 in Allen County, KY. He married Cornelia Hodges, born 3/1/1863 in Tazewell (Clairbourne County), TN, and died 9/25/1891 in KY. John L. Carter and Corneila Hodges had 4 children, 1 son and 3 daughters: Nana A. Carter, Female born 9/12/1880, Bertha Wright Carer, Male born 10/21/1882, Nina G. Carter, Female born 4/30/1886, and Fannie A. Carter, Female, date of birth not known. John L. later married Eliza A. Miller. John Lester Carter's death certificate indicates his father's name is John Carter (of which there are many) born TN and his mother, Jane Carter born Illinois. I believe John married his cousin Jane. I know John L was born in TN, however, I cannot locate any information on this family, census or otherwise.
