    3. Thanks for this post. This may help with my hunt for Joseph J Carter b ca 1808 VA, md a gal from KY and ended up in Cass Co MO by 1845. I figure this Carter family traveled through KY west. Perhaps your Joseph Jr is connected? Do you have the names of the 6 sons and 3 daughters? He names sons Joseph Henry, James William, and Richard L, probably Luckett for his wife's family.
