William Carter and Mary Chester acquired a marriage license in Fauquier Co. VA on March 5, 1789 and were married that same day in Culpeper Co. VA. They were married by John Pickett, a Baptist minister. William and Mary had three sons; William, Henry and George. I believe that the son William is my grgrandfather. He was b. about 1810-12. Does anyone connect with this line? If so, I'm looking for any information on the family of William(of William and Mary) or on William , the son.
