I am hoping to find the parents of Hnery Carter, my 3rd great grandfather. Hnery was born about1775 in North Carolina. He married Martha Parham on 11/10/1797. TheCarters spent time in Haywood County, NC, and later settled in Gilmer County, GA. Martha has disappeared from census with the 1860 Gilmer County Cenus. Henry is gone by the 1880 Gilmer County census. So, I am also looking for dates of death and places of burial. Children born to Henry Carter and Martha Parham Carter were: Sarah Carter, born about 1810, married Samuel Thompson Elizabeth Carter, born about 1812, married Nelson Carter (?a cousin?) Martha (Patsy) Carter, born about 1815 Preshus Mannerva Carter, born about 1825, marrried Nathaniel Green Felmet (My Line) George B.
