I've not found her family yet but Census records state her father was born in Ohio and mother in Pa. They had 5 children, before Susan died. James remarried and brought the children to Australia in 1842. If anyone is interested in this line I would love to hear from you. HI As a recent list subscriber, I wonder does anyone have any knowledge of, or connections with, a Henry Charles Carter in 1924 a marine fireman living in Preston Lancashire, England, when his eldest daughter was married. Appears to have married on the Fylde, Lancashire, possibly worked on Fleetwood trawlers, so would have been born around 1875. He has become something of a brick wall, (hopefully temporary). Issac is buried in Fiendship church cem. at Yadkinville . n c I was born and grew up at Statesville, N C My gradfather was Walter Windfield, Had a twin brother John Quincy , My father was one of eight children, four sisters and four brothers.
