The link to the Desert Magazine article is broken. What date year issue? That would be compelling, if Louis Simmons were still her husband. This is probably not the case, however, as Adaline died sometime around 1860. Or did she? there is conflicting information. George W. Stilts turns up in Idaho in 1870 with a 10 year old son. What was the boy's name? Where did they live before Monoville? When did Adaline marry George? Did they have a son together? Did Adaline die of post childbirth infection? Two of Kit's cousins, two aunts, and two wives did, including Adaline's mother, so a genetic disposition seems likely.
