The necklace is quite small, made of 'trade beads' and a bear(grizzly?) claw. I believe it may have belonged to Adaline and perhaps it was a gift to her from her father,Kit. Mary T. Carson is the person through whom the necklace came to us-I know she was 4 years older than Kit- I am wondering if she cared for Adaline while Adaline was in school in Missouri. According to my grandmother the line was Carson-Beedle-Gilkey.
