    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DiH.2ACEB/577.700 Message Board Post: Harriet, I hope you get this message (yours was awhile ago). The Ambrose McCord Carson may connect with some Carson/McCord marriages in PA and/or eastern TN. There were several McCords in Washington Co. TN 1780-1800 that married Carsons. My ancestor David Carson born 1755-65 lived near the McCords in Washington TN. Right now I'm trying to determine if he was a son of William Carson who married Margaret McCord 1760 back in Dauphin (Lancaster) Co PA. Our David named a son Ambrose Carson. That's the first appearance of Ambrose in the Carson family. There were 3 Ambrose Carsons who seem to originate from eastern TN around 1800, and I think they may connect to the McCord family of PA. I haven't yet determined which line Margaret McCord (born c1740) came from but probably was related to one of the Ambrose McCords. Gary Carson
