The Samuel who died in York Co. PA in 1759 had a wife Janet. There is no proof of a last name for her. This is not my family but I have McClung's books: "Carson-Bent-Boggs" about that family. The other Samuel died in Chester Co. in 1766. He is the one who married Jane Patterson. The only way we know this is from a short genealogy written by a grandson. After Jane died Samuel remarried a Sarah Reece Wallace. The David Carson who went to TN was not part of the family of Samuel Carson and Jane Patterson.
