Hi Marilyn, If you haven't already done so, you might also post your YDNA results on Ysearch and see if there are close matches with other surnames on 25 or 37 markers. I have two surname lines that match exactly with other surnames (one surname's paternal ancestor corroborated via court records and the other's paternal ancestor or father apparently one of several uncles whose male descendants match on YDNA). Since, we have tested the cousin's brother, who matched his brother perfectly. Now the results are back from a sixth half cousin. His results is off one marker from the two brothers. Therefore we are who we always thought we were and no NPE in the past couple of hundred years.
