Carson (b. 1837, Scotland) came to the US with his parents (James, b. 1779, Scotland, and Margaret, b. abt. 1801, Scotland), in May of 1849. The older James' father was named Samuel. I can find no other information on him other than the possible locations of Wigtownshire and Penninghame. Might someone know more about him, and/or his wife? Thanks.
