Marvel Marie Carson was born 11 Dec 1894 in Indian Gap, Hamilton Co TX, a daughter of Dr. John Wesley Carson and Effie Mae Fletcher. Her grandfather, Alfred P. Carson born Aug 1836 TN died CA, was a son of Ambrose Carson born c1798 Washington/Green Co TN died after 1850 in Marshall Co. AL. Ambrose was a brother of my 3g grandfather, Samuel John Carson born 1804 in Haywood Co NC. Both Carson lines moved to TX mid 1800s.
