I have Carson's that I assume came from Scotland but have only tracked them to Centre County, PA. I couldn't believe there are so many and they are pretty much James and John. Mine are James Carson, married to Sarah Edmiston father of John E Carson married to Mary Elizabeth McCreath. John is my G Grandfather and his son Park Edward Carson is my grandfather. John moved across the US and had Children along the way and wound up in Tacoma, WA. Of course they are all dead so have no one to ask questions of. Just thought I would run this by you as there was a Samuel A. Carson, son of John and Mary born July 6th, 1899. I'm kind of wondering if there wasn't a Samuel in James family as it would appear that their children are named after other members of the family. Samuel died March 6, 1960. Let me know if you think there may be a link here.
