This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I'm in the I haplogroup. The results match Carson lineages out of Lancaster, Chester PA, Washington PA, and western NC. My David Carson born c1760 (PA probably) was in NC then TN then in Buncombe NC 1800-1810 then Haywood/Jackson NC 1820. A descendant of John Hazard Carson 1752-1841 Burke Co NC is in the R haplogroup. Does James Carson in Buncombe on the Big Ivey c1800 connect? There's aren't any other Carson matches yet. Ideally there needs to be two matches of Carson males from different branches of the same line to confirm things. On a side note, there are some lines with paper trails to a common ancestor whose YDNA results don't match, so they can't be biological descendants of the same Carson ancestor. One of them needs to match another male of the same surname from a different branch for things to be sorted out. Gary Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Why can we not get to the results page anymore? My husband had his DNA done and we used to be able to go to a webpage that showed all the results ----- Original Message ----- From: <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> To: <carson-l@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 24, 2012 1:23 PM Subject: Re: [CARSON] Carson Haplogroup for PA, NC lines > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: gkcarson > Surnames: > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.carson/2926.2/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > My ancestor David Carson was in Buncombe NC c1800-1810.
