I'm always glad to here from a relative tracing the same lines.I've found the same thing where the dates don't correlate to well when you get back as far as the 1700's. I have the same problem on my Cary lineage. I think I grew up not too far from the Carson homestead in the Sheboygan/Fond du Lac, WI area. I'm hoping this spring I can go around with my dad and see if we can locate it's exact location. I found a property map that I'm using. I grew up in the Sheboygan area. Would be nice to learn about the Maine part of things and discover if they were in fact from Ireland. If you find more information please let me know and I will do the same.
