Priscilla is her mother. I'm not sure what happened to the name Carson or who it originally belonged to, but Laura took on the Ellison name in the future. Priscilla is listed as "Widowed" on a future census. On Laura's death certificate Priscilla is listed as her mother. She may have had these children Frank & Laura 'out of wedlock'.
