I, too, suspect that several (probably) related Carsons arrived in the U.S. in the 1730-1740ish time frame. Perhaps they were brothers, perhaps cousins. Either way, I can't conclusively draw any conclusions that I can back up with documentation. I will keep you in mind as I continue my research. If you happen to come accross additional information about the wives of Robert b. 1716 (Rachel last name?), David b. 1741, or Robert b. 1762 I would love to hear it.
