If you can help with any research for PA, that would be great. I'm working under the assumption that my David Carson ancestor born 1760-65 was born in PA and that came to western NC by 1780-85. After marrying, he was in eastern TN 1790-99 (probably moving their with his parents and wife) then back in Buncombe NC by 1800. Findings suggest he was a son of William Carson and Margaret McCord who were married 1760 Dauphin PA by Rev. John Roan. Here are some questions and challenges related to PA: 1) I'm wondering if the Robert Carson who married Margaret West 1755 and the Mary Carson who married a John Lee 1759 in Dauphin PA and by the same minister (Rev. John Roan) who married William and Margaret are siblings of William. 2) If the older David Carson who appears on Lancaster PA tax lists in 1750-51 is a father of these 3 and/or if that David died in PA and left a will or intestate record in Lancaster or Dauphin. 3) If the David Carson in the Cumberland PA Tyrone Twp tax list 1778 died in that county about then and left a widow Sarah and sons David and John. The tax lists suggest that is the case because the widow appears, then another David in 1779-1780. I'd also like to figure out if he is the same older David who was in the Lancaster tax list 1750-51. 4) Rev. John Cutherbertson in Lancaster PA baptized Mary Carson and Margaret Carson 1754-1756, listed as daughters of David Carson. He also baptized numerous McCord children whose father was with our Carson line in eastern TN. I'm wondering which David was their father. 4) I'm trying to find any record of a David Carson (born marrying a Catherine Patterson around 1786 -1789 in PA (might have been in VA or NC). Any information or hints would be appreciated. Thanks, Gary Carson
