His sons Joseph and David were born sometime between 1802 and 1815. The dates are mostly inferred from ages in censuses, so they aren't too consistent or reliable. Joseph and David were, I think, only a few years apart, but in different places their births fall in the range given; it is not like one was born early and the other late. -- Thomas M.
